  1. Yup.  Its caused from an insufficient diet.  Try switching her food to one that contains more protein and fiber (listed on the bag/can).  Make sure to c hange foods gradually or she will get sick to her tummy!  Everyday add a little more of the new food to her dish and less of the old food.  Also, a can or two of tuna each week will help moisturize her skin.

  2. it's dandruff.. but not really..

it's called dander.... it's actually the saliva that has dried from them cleaning/l*****g themselves.  the protein in the dander is what people are allergic to.  so.. it's not really dandruff like humans get, but it is similar.  if you are allergic, look into the siberian breed of cats.. they have have much less of the protein in their saliva that people are allergic to.. and they are beautiful cats!

  3. Hi, my cat has dandruff, my vet says it may be cuz she is overweight, she is diabetic and that may be a reason too. I too brush my kitty to no avail. I don't think is itchy to her. Try calling your Vet, she may want to rule out other reasons.. My kitty has always had since she came down with diabetes. I agree food can have things to do with it too. Grains shouldn't be in the first 4 ingredients GOOD LUCK

  4. Yes they can.

You can give your cat a bath in Selsun blue. Do NOT use Head and Shoulders. My vet says that Selenium is ok but zinc is not.

    It works!

  5. get some omega3 fish oil etc and put it over her food just a few times a week you will see a difference

  6. Please go get your bag of cat food...Look at the ingredient list...The first ingredient is corn ? There's you problem...

Cats and dogs can't really digest corn...Just because the bag says "nutritionally complete", don't believe it...

A cat needs a very high protien diet and if you're feeding a grocery store food with corn as the first ingredient, you're gonna get dandruff and a dull coat and your cats immune system just isn't up to par...

As our pets caretakers, we owe it to our babies to give them the best or at least adequet nutrition...Please find a food in which the FIRST ingredient is poultry or poultry by product...Your baby will thank you, and so will her skin and coat !
