  1. This is from TV show "Myth-busters"

Using one’s cell phone while pumping gas/petrol can cause an explosion.

    busted

A properly-working cell phone poses almost no danger of igniting gasoline, even when surrounded by gasoline vapor with the optimum fuel-air mix for ignition. The actual risk comes from an electrostatic discharge between a charged driver and the car, often a result of continually getting into and out of the vehicle.http://mythbustersresults.com/episode2

    But it really did happen.

The chances are very small of it happening.

  2. never heard of it happening,

if MythBusters busted it, then it must not be true.

    but...

    why take chances?

  3. no,,,myth busters busted that mythh

  4. The only time that a cell phone could cause a fire is if you drop the cell phone and the battery pops out because the battery could ignite the gas flumes but not the cell phone itself.........
