  1. Chicken is a very good protein source.  Seizures are neurological, and should not be brought on by chicken in a normal dog who is not prone to having seizures.  A dog is like any other animal or human in that sense, they either have an abnormality in the brain leading to seizures, or they don't.  I see no reason why feeding chicken would cause a seizure.

But to feed it raw is asking for trouble!  Chicken almost always contains salmonella and/or E.Coli, both of which can cause serious problems in humans and animals.  I don't know why it would be suggested to feed raw chicken to any animal.  If you want feed chicken, please cook it first, and also do not feed any bones.  They are hollow and can splinter and damage the intestines.

  2. NO. After they are done with their puppy food, Chicken is most of the time in their meals (I cook their food now, especially made for dogs...no preservatives of course!). My Golden is now 9y/o & my Choc Lab is 11... They're still healthy & very much active.
