Can chickens and rabbits be together?

Question

I have 2 chickens which i have had since they were 2 weeks old and they live in a hut with a coop to run around in, I also have 3 rabbits and they live in hutches, but i want to give them a bit more excersise so i was wondering if i could put one of the rabbits in with the chickens for a few hours? ive searched on the internet and some people say its ok but some people say its not so i don't really know! So i just want to know if they can or not, and also if they can catch any diseases or anything from the chickens. Thanks x

it should be okay, just dont put rabbits together unless u want a bunch of them.  monitor there temperment with one another for the first day or so to see how they react.

im pretty sure they would be ok unless you had a male rabbit try to hump one of the chickens or something... (hey i had an un neutered male and he humped EVERYTHING!!!!!!)  or the chicks could be territorial or something and try to peck the rabbits, i would place them in the same pen with a barrier between them for the first few days

as for dieseasdes? i dont think so, as long as everyone is caught up on their shots they should be ok ^_^

No, they can pass illnesses through their p**p to each other.
