Can child support take my insurance check in new jersey?

i am about to be put on child support and was wondering if they will include in my insurance check every month. My brothers wife tried to go after his and was told no,but that was years ago.

  1. What do you mean you are "about to be put on child support"???

    What insurance check are you getting? I've never heard of insurance paying someone every month...?


  2. What insurance check?  

    Once you cash any check, it goes to your bank account, and then it is attachable by child support.

    If it's SSDI, then yes, your state AG can attach that check to pay back support and current support.
