My room temp is about 24/25 degrees celsius. If I get a chinchilla would it be ok?

If not how could I cool my room down? Whilst I am at school :)

  1. That temperature seems okay but you wouldn't want it any hotter than that because Chinchillas can't take the heat.  Anything over 80 could kill them.  Keep the blinds down to keep out the sun and keep the lights off and close the door.

  2. Dear Chinchilla Room Temperature Inquirer,

That is quite warm, but you should close your windows and blinds, and close your door, and keep the lights off during the day, and that will cool down the room.

Your chinchilla will do just fine, though,

  3. That's really warm for a chinchilla. The best way to keep the room cool would be a fan to circulate the air and a piece of granite that he could lay on. They sell pieces of it at pet stores as Chin-Chillers.

  4. IDK. Try and keep it in cool/dark places. It might help to put a towel over it's cage.
