A few years back I watched a documentary in which a man was attacked by a shark. His friends took a box of cigarettes and pushed them into the wound. They said that the nicotine drastically slowed down the wound and probably saved his life. Are cigarettes really a viable option for a makeshift first aid kit?

  1. NO

  2. lol i read the headline of your question and thought about the same documentary.

but yeah i would assume so. nicotine constricts blood vessels. thats what causes the high blood pressure.

i wouldnt use it as a home remedy or anything. just in extreme cases when your desperate like in the documentary. i would think there is a good chance of infection if you shoved ciggarettes in a bad wound
