  1. yes all parrots can talk it just a matter of patience to teach them

  2. Cockatoos *can* talk, but not well.  They only learn a few words and their voices are very garbled and difficult to understand.  Macaws can typically learn to talk quite well.  Amazons and African Greys are some of the better talkers in the bird world.

  3. Definitely.  Cockatoos can be extremely proficient talkers.  I knew people who had one in an aviary out back and it would screech at the top of it's lungs "Where the f**k are ya d**k head!" almost constantly sometimes, poor neighbours...

  4. Here in Australia there are plenty of talking cockatoos, you only have to go to a  zoo to here them. Most cockatoos in the zoo simply say 'Hello' because that's what everyone says to them when they see them. In private homes they do say more, some have been taught to swear! Our short billed correlas (cockatoos) and sulphur crested white cockatoos are the better talkers. Macaws are also very good talkers

  5. A cockatoo is a parrot as is a macaw.  Parrot is a general term which describes a variety of different species of birds.  Both the cockatoo and the macaw both can talk very well, but the king of the talkers is the African Grey.

  6. cockatoos can talk  and macaws can also if you train them very well

  7. I have two parakeet I hear it in their voice a certain crackerling means they can talk macaws can clearly I think your cockatoo should be able to as well it's repitition though a lot.

  8. Hi there,

Yes indeed they can. African Grey parrots are famous for being the best talkers but IMHO you can't beat a Mynah bird.
