Can cold affect a satelite dish?

our dish is loosing signal, off and on a few seconds it's sunny out so it can't be that or a poor connection as it is new. bit we are having way below zero temps, could it feeze the eye deally outside??

This is highly unlikely. Conditions that would affect your signal would be heavy winds, extremely cloudy days or nights.

But the temp should not affect your signal. Now, Just becouse the installation is new, does not mean that there isn't a loose connection somewhere. Double check your cable connections (or call the installer back to check).

The eye is actually on the receiver box wired to your TV.  Cold most definitely can affect your satellite dish though.  Especially if there is moisture in the line.  Good luck!
