  1. The worst team in the NFL would massacre the best college all star team, let alone the best team. The talent jump from college to the NFL is huge. This is laughable.

  2. well state the best college team and worst NFL team plz

  3. Even the worst of the NFL teams has many of the best from the college ranks. So would the Miami Dolphins beat up on, say, last years Florida Gators?

This is a tough one to argue for me. My gut call is to say that the NFL team would win.

One important point to remember, I think, is that guys who were top tier players in college often end up third stringers in the NFL. So what would that mean for this pretend match up?

  4. No, I don't believe the best college team can beat the worse NFL team.  The NFL teams, even the worse teams, are composed of the few college players that are considered to be elite.  Once these players get into the NFL, they train harder and actually improve upon their skills.  So they're faster, stronger, smarter and are better coached.  Even college athletes that make it to the NFL says that the level and the speed of the game takes a lot of getting used to and some rookies have a tough time with this.  Some never caught up with it and are these players that dominated in college but when they get into the NFL, they are mediocre at best.  Not only that, the football schemes and strategies are so much more complex in the NFL that a college QB would have a hard time reading the defense.  Even college elite QB's that come into an NFL team with an offense "similar" to what they had in college still struggle making passes on the NFL secondary.  Also there are few college WR that can beat a NFL CB jam at the line.  They lack the skills and strength.  And on the flip side, I'm sure there are very few college CB that can properly jam a NFL WR on the line.  The WR would probably run over the CB and then would be wide open for a long gain.  The college DL would have a hard time protecting the QB not only because of the defensive scheme but because they're be completely man handled at the line because of the strength and skill difference.  Same with the college OL, there wouldn't be a running game because of a lack of blocking.  The QB might get off a quick slant but do that enough and the NFL CB will start jumping that too and soon there'll be nothing the college team can do.  There's a reason why most college players never go pro.  Common sense says that if a college team is better than a NFL team, then that whole college team would make it to the NFL but not so.  Only a selected few on a "good" college team ever make it to the pros.

  5. Years ago, they used to have all star college teams play the pros.  Can't find it right off that bat, but I wouldn't guess they did too well.  Good luck.

  6. I think thats possible but it will never happen so we will never know

  7. Consider these facts:

    - Only 1% of all college football players even make an NFL roster let alone ever play a game.

    - No college has enough alumni in the NFL to fill out an NFL roster (52).  That's even skewed because colleges only have players for four years, the pros can keep them 10-15.  Thus there could be three guys from the same school who never played with each other.

    - For pro players, this is their job.  They spend more time working out, studying film and playbooks, and going to meetings.  They don't have to spend their time going to class and studying.

    - Pro players are also more experienced, bigger, and faster than people in their positions in college.

Not only could the best college team not beat a the worst pro team, I would even state that the best high school team could not beat the worst college team.

  8. no never, this question gets asked all the time. Never could the LSU Tigers beat the Miami Dolphins. The Nfl teams are made up of elite athletes, there is depth in every position. A great high school team has a better chance of beating a college team.

  9. Yeah belive it could happen.

  10. h**l no

  11. your friend is an idiot. only approx. 12 players on the best college team make it into the NFL and there's only like a couple that stay in it that long. An NFL team is at 5 times better than your average LSU or USC! Anyway... your right!
