  1. yeah the doctor should have told you it was normal to have a headache for about 2 weeks or so until your eyes adjust. Take some advil and get on with your day. I do know first hand that if your perscription is wrong that it will make you dizzy and cause head aches. I got mine wrong and it was horrible. most offices offer a week or two leway where you can go back and get retested for a new perscription if you think something is wrong. call and ask them about it.

Most doctors wont allow a person to get contacts inless they have had glasses for at least a year. its not good for your eyes. Are you getting contacts when you just need reading glasses? you cant really do that....well you can but you shouldnt. it will make your eyes worse.

  2. The reason it's blurry whenever you stare for a long time is because your contacts get dry, after you blink a couple times it should get better.

And the reason for the headaches could be because it's such a change, even if it helps your sight.

  3. Yup, its common when you first get them.  Your eyes are still adjusting.  Your doctor should have explained this to you.

Don't stare for long periods of time, especially close up.  Every 10 minutes or so, look up and focus on things far away for a minute or two.

Also, wear sunglasses.  The sun may be magnified and that could give you a headache.  The sunglasses will also prevent flying dust and debris from getting in your eyes.
