Today, my dad showed me his eyes and I saw that the top part of his iris are fading. He said it's caused by wearing contacts and that fading will eventually spread.

Can contacts cause this? If so, why? Can this cause blindness?

  1. I have never seen that nor heard of it and I have been in the optical for 27 years. I have worn contacts for over 30 years and I have not trouble at all and my eyes have remained the same! So, maybe he should talk to his dotcor!

  2. maybe you're dad sould go get that checked out it sounds pretty scary... i  think youre eyes could get that damaged from contacts they turn really red and get ichy and it goes on from there

  3. That can happen. Contacts can't cause blindness unless you have some very delicate eyes.

  4. contacts is dangerous thats why i never wear them anymore, they feel very uncomfortable and are very itchy...
