  1. It all comes down to probable cause and lately the police seem to have great leeway in what they consider probable cause.

  2. ive never heard of a k-9 cop doing routine traffic stops and ever more bringing their dog to your window. unless youre crossing a border or something. u would figure they would have more important duties. so if this happened someone must want u haha. if not idk thats a pretty odd event i would have to say...

  3. I'm pretty sure they are not allowed to do that only let the dog walk around the car and smell from outside. But if you have anything illegal on you the dog will probably pick it up anyways

  4. The US Supreme Court had determined you have a lesser expectation of privacy in a vehicle while on a public road.

The only restriction I'm aware of concerning K-9 searches is that the dog must arrive during the normal time frame of the stop. An officer can not hold you for the sole purpose of waiting for the K-9 to show up.

  5. ANYWAY your question is improbable, not likely to happen that police officers with K-9 doing highway or road check-point.  K-9 is only used for retrieving FUGITIVES running in the forest or within the country jurisdiction that is why they uses dogs such as what you describe here K-9 or for bomb or drug related incident but manning a stop sign post is very very unlikely. Ok we go for your question- does cops require a person to roll down their windows to let K-9 to stick their head into the car, NOPE ABSOLUTELY NOT, these cops are NOT MORONS to do such things, this is considered to be illegal and out of proportion. WHY IN THE h**l WOULD a cop allowed a dog to stick its head inside a car for? What is the issue or the problem? TO SNIP DRUGS? What if the dog bite, would the cop be responsible for the dog manner or behavior?
