  1. YES!! They CAN and WILL kill you they charge and hit you with there head and there head is like a rock hitting you over and over again... DO NOT GO THERE AGAIN IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE!!!

  2. yes a cow can but i would be more worried about SEA COWS

  3. Yes they can - that's a lot of weight and they have sharp hooves too.

Can you find out who owns it and have a word with them - I bet they don't know it's doing that or they'd move it for fear of liability.

  4. YES! cows can kill you. We are very good friends with a man that raises red Brangus cattle and every time he has to work his cattle (giving vaccines, branding) stuff like that we always go help. well he is an older guy and he has a cow in his heard we call spike because the hair on her head well anyway one day it was only him my sister and his wife out there and spike came after him, he tried to climb over the fence but she kept knocking him down his blue heeler Ginger chased the cow off of him and saved his life, my sister ran to him before he fell to the ground and she wrapped her arms around him to steady him and she said that she could feel his ribs cracking a popping. he went to the hospital with a punctured lung 15 broken ribs and a broken scapula it was horrible. If Ginger had not gotten the cow from him he could have died.

  5. Yes, some cows particulary bulls are territorial. They can and will hurt both you and yes, even horses too. Many times cows with newborn calves will be overprotective as well and cows tend to "gang up" hopeing to defend their calves, usually if they do this the bull comes along as well so you have in actuality a herd of cattle that are after you thinking they are protecting their babies. This is not good.

I'd definately stay away from there. It's actually pretty common for humans to be injured by cattle and sometimes even killed.

EDITED TO ADD>>>Why are these cattle not fenced in? Are you  riding through their pasture or do they actually have access to the road? If that is the case someone needs to contact the owner as it is a serious danger and a liability to drivers. Ever saw a car after it hit a cow? Very messy.....and usually totals the car if they are moving at highway speeds.

  6. YES COWS CAN KILL BUT BULLS ARE FAR MORE LIKLEY TO.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN ATTACKED BY A COW BUT BY A BULL WITHOUT HORNS YES! I FORTUNATLY WAS RIDING A 19.2HH CLYDESDALE HORSE AND MANAGED TO REAR UP UP THE BULL.

IF THAT BULL HAD HORNS BOTH ME AND MY HORSE WOULD BE DEAD.

IF A COW EVER ATTACKS YOU THEM THE BEST THING TO DO IS CLIMB A TREE OR WALL AND IF THERE IS NO WALL OR TREE AROUND THEM THROW STONES AT THE UDDERS AND NOSE. THEY ARE MOST SENSITIVE THEIR!

  7. Yes, very easily.

Don't move fast and stay far away from the cows is your safest bet.

  8. Yes, cows can kill you.  They are very much bigger than you and can stomp or kick you.  Cows are not always nice animals.  I know a man that was nearly trampled to death by one of his cows although I would bet that more people die each year by choking on a piece of beef than get trampled.

  9. Yes cows can kill you and I'd take a bull over a cow during calving season any day of the week.

Also when a cow charges you with the intent of ramming you she is more dangerous than a bull doing the same because a cow will keep her eyes open through the impact where a bull will shut his (this is what gives rodeo clowns and bullfighters a fighting chance).

What kind of cattle are you dealing with? Do they have horns? Why are they not in a fence? Can you go to their owner and inquire about fencing the area? Are you cutting through someones pasture or are they out on the road?

When a cow charges she will ram you and knock you down and strike you with her head and front feet and possibly kneel on you while beating you up with her huge hard head.

I don't really know what else to tell you, but yes a cow can kill you.

  10. Possible but doubtful.  Is this a bull?  He's attracted to your motion.  Try walking your bike slowly past and he might give you less trouble.  Odd they're not fenced in somehow hmmmm.

  11. It's certainly physically capable of killing you, but very few cows are so inclined. Most likely it's a bullock, in it's prime, showing off a bit.

That said, a quick word with it's owner about it's behavior would be a good idea, as  cows aren't exactly known for their tact and brainpower and it could possibly hurt you without meaning to do anything more than play around.

  12. Realistically anything can kill you so yes, an animal that weighs over 1,000 pounds that charges at you could definitely cause injury's to your body and you may even die. Isn't it a law to have livestock such as cows in an enclosed area? Well, that is quite safe is it! And your mom rides a bike, so if you have another bike start riding it home, or just stay as far away as you can from the cows when you pass by everyday. I wouldn't suggest running by act relaxed and calm they shouldn't pay much attention to you if you are not that much of a distraction. Consider calling your local animal control center and find out who owns the cows, tell them they aren't in a enclosed area, and they are a threat to nearby citizens. Maybe bring something to help protect you in case a cow charges at you, it could save your life.

  13. Cattle can do serious damage.  Not only can you be gorged by their horns but you can be trampled once you're down on the ground as well.

I'd go around the pasture to get home from school or where ever you're coming or going to.  You may want to take this issue up with the owner of the cattle.  If they are not in a fenced pasture and allowed to free range and they charge you and in the process you are injured or killed, then the owners are responsible financially.  You can also call animal control and have them deal with the cattle and their owner.

Here in California, if an animal is loose and your car hits it or it does some sort of property damage, the owner is responsible.

  14. Yes, a cow is capable of killing you
