Can crossed eyes get well with surgery in adulthood ?

I'm 20 years old and i have crossed eyes. actually one of them is inwards. i don't have any vision problems. i just want my eyes to be straight so that i can look at people properly .

The cosmetic appearance can certainly be improved, but usually it won't actually make the two eyes work together. Occasionally such surgery may result in double vision, but it is well worth asking your optometrist about it.
