I would like to know..

I am a native married to an italian..

He works for the italian airfore..The governments is going to send him to the States for 3 years. What kind of visa should I apply for to make me able to work and stay there for the 3 years?What documents do I need to fill in?

The type of US visa your husband receives will depend on who exactly is sending him and what he is expected to do.   It could be an A visa, a G, or a NATO.  In any case, the government of Italy should arrange for his visa and yours.  You will not be allowed to work under any of those three categories of US visa.

Your government should be taking care of the visas for you.

I lived all over the world when I served in the US Navy, including 2 years in Catania, Sicilly.  The US government always took care of passports and visas for my family.  However, my wife was never allowed to seek employment off the base where I was stationed.  I do not think you will be allowed to work in the United States.

The Italian Air Force should be handling all of the visa arrangements for both of you, in cooperation with someone from the US Military Attache's office at the US Embassy Rome.  However, if they do not, then you should wait until your husband is given his visa, then apply for a dependent visa linked to your husband's visa.  You will need to be listed on your husband's military travel orders, and also provide proof of marriage, along with a valid passport.  Employment will not generally be authorized, but your government may provide a spousal stipend to your husband.

Apply for a tourist visa and to visit your husband in the USA.  Then apply for work in a US company so that if hired, present the contract of employment to have a working visa.
