Can deaf people drive?

I got a ticket because my music was too loud in my car while driving. and the cop said it was becasue i can't be alert of sounds around me ,police, ambulance etc....So can deaf people drive???

  1. yes, my sister is deaf , and she has a license


  2. Someone can be legally deaf without being totally deaf.  With hearing aids or cochlear implants they may have difficulty understanding speech but may still be able to hear well enough to drive, but I don't know what the law says.
