Question:

Can decreasing estrogen change my body type?

I'm a male (16 years old) and I unfortunately have a women shaped body. I'm pretty sure I have a high estrogen level, but I'm taking a blood test later this week to make sure. Is it possible that my body shape will change to a "manly" body if I decrease estrogen?

  1. if you really have high enough estrogen levels to treat, then yes, treatment may change your body.

  2. Too much estrogen can cause excess body fat, particularly around the b***s and lower belly fat. But  you need the blood test for estrogen first and once you have it under control you'll still have to exercise to shape up your body. Most often it isn't that a mans body produces too much estrogen, it's the testosterone being converted  or aromatizing to estrogen. If thats the case you'll need medication to stop the conversion of T. to E. Your doc can explain it or look up amoratization.
