Dear Sir/Madam,

Suppose my newstoday group discussion going beyond limit. So I desire to stop that discussion by filtering its subject line. Can I do it?

  1. You could put everyone on moderation so every message required approval or just put the cronic offenders on moderation by looking them up on your membership list, scroll down to edit, click, change what they can do  to moderation then click save changes.

  2. There is no way to filter the subject line of a message/discussion.  When this happens on my group, we post a message stating that this discussion is closed and tell the members not to continue with it.  If they do continue posting to that specific subject, we delete the message(s) and post one more notice that discussion is closed.  If a member objects to this and posts again about it, we send a personal private email to that member letting them know that when a subject is closed they must not continue that specific subject.  This always works for us and I hope it will help you with your group.

  3. my suggestion is to moderate the members you need to monitor the subject. there's no way to do this but by individuallly going to each memebr is the members list. you can locate the member in the list, click edit membership below their ID, bottom next page Posting Messages:    Override: This member's posts are not moderated (Edit)<-- click the edit- next page bottom * Messages posted by this member are moderated. - clcik save changes

use these same steps to unmoderate members-
