Can dfcs or child protective services in ga. refer my case to texas and keep the case in ga. opened ?

child protective services in ga. refered my case to texas where my kids are now, child protective service in ga. continues to bother me and won't close there case in ga.,so is it legal for ga. to keep there case open after texas recieved the referal and took over it?

  1. I'm not aware of any laws that prevent two states from having cases open.  Each state's child services operates independently of those of other states.
