Can diffrent bunny breeds make baby's?

i have a havana bunny (female) and a britin petite bunny (male) and i wanderin can they make babys because they are diffrent breeds?

  1. They can but they shouldn't. All you'll be making is mixed breed rabbits which are harder to place. Plus you'll be adding to the rabbit overpopulation.

  3. Yes they can do to their chromozones they all have the same chromozones their for they can breed with one another but if its two different species they cant because they dont have the same chromozones and if their family like brother and sister dont let them because the baby can have problems

  4. Yep, they can breed and produce viable offspring. It;s just like different breeds of dog can have puppies together.

    Also, the babies will simply be mixed breeds, not a new breed. :) Unless you want to take like dog owners and call the babies BritiVana bunnies. :P (Like cockapoo, etc...)

  5. yes, I had a lion head rappit and a dutch rabbit and they had the wirdest looking bunnies EVER! but yes two completely different rabbits can breed (just make sure the female is always bigger then the male because if the female is alot smaller she could have trouble having the babies )
