Can digital-to-analog converter convert cable digital signals to analog?

I know digital-to-analog is supposed to work for the air, but I get weak air signals. Will it work with cable digital channels.

  1. They aren't really built to REPLACE the cable converter box....they are built to recieve TV stations from an antenna and not Cable.....


  2. Are you talking about the digital boxes the stores are selling?  They are used to tune in the ATSC digital signal being broadcast by the tv stations.  If that is what you are referring to then my answer to you is ...

    no you cannot use them for digital cable channels.  Digital cable requires a different tuner ... QAM not ATSC.  Confusing?  yes it is.

  3. I'm sorry, the converter boxes only work for Over The Air TV.  Cable uses a different system that the converter won't work with.
