Question:

Can do yoga while I'm having my period?

I was looking for poses when I can across a warning

that said that I shouldn't.

  1. I don't see any problem with doing yoga on your period. It could even help ease your cramps[if you have any]. Tampons would probably work better for this because with all those position blood could run off the pad and make a mess.

  2. There is a debate whether being upside-down while on your period causes TSS but i'm not sure if it's been proven.  I think you're safe as long as you don't do any upside-down poses.

  3. Yes some light excercise is great for when you are on your period

  4. Don't complicate things by trying to execute the advanced and difficult yoga poses, during your period! Just go with the simple, easy, yet effective poses. It will even ease your period. And you'll feel very relaxed!

  5. I dont think theres a problem with doing yoga on your period. wear a tampon for comfort but it doesn't sound like there should be a warning

  6. Yoga? i think its fine. it would help with cramps, and it'd be good exercise. I would suggest wearing a tampon though, or at least a pad with wings. good luck! :)
