I studied really really hard for my SAT and my ACT but i did poorly on both of them. My writing score was decent though. Can doubting yourself lower your test scores?? Because i am constantly thinking i will never do well. I am taking the SAT on Saturday and i am hoping i do much better. If i don't do well this time around i might blow my chance of getting accepted into a universities. :(

  1. well if u dont beleive in ur abilities u might aswell not have any

  2. Definitely.

Even if you're faced with the easyest problem, if you convinced yourself that you can't do it, then you will be unable to do it.

However, it only works one way. If you can't do it, you can't do it, no matter how much self-esteem you have.

  3. Part of the test is to ask something difficult at the first of the test. It is meant to stun you. Next time skip the first 5-10 questions and come back for them.

  4. I actually think that doubting yourself actually makes you do better. It does with me.

  5. Perception means everything. If u think u can then u can and vis versa.

  6. Yes, of course.  If you think you will fail then you will fail.

  7. ofcourse if u r not +ve in life u wl lose a lot..

  8. Not always, but most of the time, yes, it will affect how you do things.

  9. Confidence in your self will help to lessen stress associated with testing and it will keep your head clear during testing so that you can concentrate. Unfortunately, with tests like this, you either know the material or not. Keep studying and good luck!

  10. Thats called the self-fullfilling prophacy. If you believe that you are going to do badly then you will not try as hard as if you have a positive look on the task at hand. Keep studing as hard as you can, and then you can think to yourself that you are doing everything to try to pass the test and you shouldnt worry about it. positiivity is the key here.
