Dragonflies are a ferocious predator of the insect world, devouring other insects. They have been around since before dinosaurs and are an integral part of many ecosystems. They are not harmful to humans.

Nope.  Not at all.  And they eat lots of bugs we don't like such as mosquitoes.  They do get big though, don't they?
