  1. of course! how do you think you got your hamster!

  2. Yes. If they couldn't you wouldn't have dwarf hamsters. They are VERY easy to breed. They are sexually mature at 4 weeks and will usually breed within a couple of days of being introduced to their new mate. In about 2-3 weeks the female will have her litter. Remove the male before then or they will try to breed immediately after she has her litter. If they are allowed to breed again immediately it can put the mother's health in danger and she will not be able to take very good care of her babies. If you are sure the male is male then you might want to check your female to see if she's female. If she is still pretty small it may be hard to tell. You should also take into consideration that many dwarfs only live 1.5 - 2 years, so if your hamster is getting close to 1 1/2 years she will not be as fertile as a hamster that is only 2-4 months old and she may not be as willing to breed or care for any babies that she does have, especially if she hasn't been bred before.

  3. yes

go to a vet and make sure its a male hamster

  4. Don't breed your hamster. Hamsters tend to kill and eat their babies if the conditions aren't perfect. Can you handle this? If any babies do survive, what will you do with them? If you can't even tell a male from a female you aren't ready for the challenge of breeding.

  5. yes. you're probably just not doing it rite. do some research

  6. Of course they can have babies, how do you think they came about in the first place if they couldn't have babies? Lol. I don't really suggest trying to get your hamster pregnant unless you know what you're going to do with the babies. This world has enough homeless animals, you know, and it doesn't really need more. If you want my suggestion, stop trying and leave the poor hamster alone. Maybe she doesn't want to get pregnant. Ask the vet to check it out... and while you're at the vet, ask for a health examination. If it is a girl, you don't want an unhealthy hammy giving birth obviously. I would say good luck, but I don't think that you should be trying to get your hamster pregnant.
