Can earwigs control your brain?

my friend said that if an earwigs goes in your ear it goes to your brain and it controls your brain to do stupid things.

is that true? and also do you have any tips to prevent earwigs from coming into your home or your ear?

It sounds to me like an earwig has already taken control of your friend's brain.  No, it is not true.  In fact, they don't enter ears anymore than any other insect and how often is that?

They like plant (read that as vegetable and fruit) scraps, moisture and dark places.  To keep them out of your home, eliminate these three as much as possible.
