Can eating 5 cucumber slices a day make me lose a lot of weight?

i found out that cucumbers have an acid in them that burns fat. i need to lose 40 lbs. i'm only 5 foot 4 and i don't have money for special diets or access to a gym. please answer!

  1. If thats all you eat yes. But not if you eat the same as you normally do. Cucumbers really do nothing.


  2. lol... no ... if u keep your eating habbits,, i remember a couple months ago i used to eat seven 7" cucumbers in one day,, everyday and it did me no help cause i lost no weight with it.. and now i eat 3 cucumbers a day... no weight loss yet... lol ..

And it doesn't matter about not having a special diet or a gym this is what you do: Run for outside, and eat right( non-grease, fruits and vegatables) Besides "special diets" don't work, and gyms only make people think that- I workrd out at the gym today so I eat this triple layer choclate-sugar cake.

That is not true and will not work....to lose weight you need to decrease calorie intake or change the foods you are eating, no junk food, sugary foods or drinks, no fatty/fried foods and exercise. walking/running do not require an great amount of investment, just a good pair of running shoes. There is no magic pill or diet for weight loss, it requires dedication and work.  

  5. Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.  There is no such thing as a diet that burns fat.  Fat is caused by creating a deficiency in calories through dieting and exercise.

    If you only ate cucumbers your metabolism would go into starvation mode and make it HARDER to lose weight.

  6. well if you ONLY eat that then you body is going to think you are starving and make it HARDER FOR YOU TO LOSE WEIGHT.

  7. If thats all you eat then yes. But like 1/2 cup of fruit has more fiber causeing you to p**p. Or prunes.
