  1. Eating too much of anything can kill you. Even celery.

But I think the people who are responding with 'if it could, the Chinese would be dead' don't seem to realize that "Chinese" food in America is light-ages unhealthier than food in China.

  2. no it's good food.

  3. i highly doubt that otherwise Chinese  would all be dead don`t ya think?

  4. well, if you ate 95 pounds of rice in one sitting...maybe. but otherwise, i think you're ok.

  5. Yes, my Uncle Tommy came very close after a few too many helpings of s**+-Wong-Tang. Anything over 78-134 ounces is pushing it.Be just as careful with Romanian Soups.

  6. Yep, bcos thier food especially the comb. rice does hae alot of fats in it, bcos of the frying and half cooked rice. Try eating the Chinese food like once to twice in two weeks.

  7. never heard such

  8. Are you talking about the westernized Chinese fast-food stuff (sweet and sour, general tso chicken, fried rice, lo mein, etc)

    ??

Or are you talking about the authentic stuff cooked at home

(white rice, steamed veggies, and small meat portions with less salt/sodium/grease/sugar)

    ??

There is a big difference between to two. ^

  9. Well if that were true there'd be no Chinese left in the world. Remember the Chinese population is the highest in the world.

  10. Well first of all chinese food is diverse, but it's not all healthy, and contains lots of sodium and other ingredients. It's not among the top 10 healthiest foods out there. To me, it's close to junk, but not really that bad.  It depends who you ask and what you eat.  If you eat too much of it, it won't be healthy, let's put it that way.

Killing you depends on your own health ailments, genetics, predispositions to getting sick ,etc.

To each their own my friend.

  11. no.as long as it's safe and clean

  12. Chinese restaurants in the U.S. or India are partial to using MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) in their cooking.  In India,  MSG is known by the name  "Ajinomoto".  Used as an additive and flavor enhancer -- considered to have health risks and is the subject of an on-going health concern debate. There is something called  the  "Chinese Restaurant Syndrome" - the headaches, dizziness, and chest pains some people experience after dining at a Chinese restaurant. Some food experts regard MSG as the culprit.

The FDA has regulated that all packaged food using MSG clearly specify  "Monosodium Glutamate" in their ingedients list.

This is to help the conscious consumer make a choice on whether to buy the product with this additive or not. In response to this health concern, some of the better Chinese restaurants advertise as "NO MSG" .

Another health concern  is Soy itself -- the  soybean industry is one of the top Agro-Industries on the list of Genetically Modified products -- knowing your source of soybeans i.e. knowing they are Organic AND NON-GMO would be useful.  The caution from recent  articles appearing in scientific journals is against the overconsumption of Soy and Soy-based products itself -- google for harmful effects of  Soy.

  13. Eating the wrong kind of anything is bad for you, Chinese food you get in the USA is really polynesian food heavy sauces are not found in china traditionally, In china people use a lot of tofu, fishes and Rice with light sauces made of soy sauce and very little oil or fish sauces...most dishes are steamed also, very little frying if any is done in traditional chinese cooking and greasy meats like Duck are a rare treat...So Real chinese food is extremely healthy for you but "Chinese food" searved in the USA...not so healthy

  14. Well, it dang sure hasn't killed the Chinese now has it??

  15. If you eat too much of what passes for Chinese food in America & other Western countries, you may well have increased health problems from the excessive salt, oil, MSG & deep-frying. If you eat authentic Chinese food from good restaurants & home-cooked food, in place of junk fast food, it will very likely improve your health. 5000 years of Chinese history, 1.3 billion in China and more than 30 million overseas Chinese can't be very mistaken about Chinese food. Anyway, about food the general principle is simply to eat in moderation, even drinking too much plain water has its problems.
