Can employer check what i am doing on my company laptop ?

i am home-based. I log on to windows xp to the corporate domain rather then to "this machine" at windows logon dialog.

then i can access outlook.exchange server directly (no VPN connection is required)

should i be worried that the employer can track what websites i am visiting or what software i use , when i am working from home ?

Well, if it is a company laptop, and therefore owned by the company, then, yes, I guess they would be within their rights to at least occasionally track which websites you are accessing.
