Can employers find out how old you are, from your National Insurance number?

For example, a company i work for on the hush hush, want me to go onto the books, but i have lied about my age so that i comply with their over 21 policy, for working behind the bar. they dont want any other id or anything, because they "know" me but, they want my NI number, can they check? will they know just from the NI number

  1. No. However, your employer's over 21 policy may exist because of the terms of their Bar LIcence - depending upon which country and state you are in. If you are under-age for that employment you may be putting that Licence at risk. This means that both you and your employer could be liable to prosecution.
