Can enployer who provides free health insurance as a benefit for working night start charging you?

I have worked for a company for 5 years and Always had free health insurance for working nights when I started it was considered a bennefit now I have to pay can they do tht under law

    BUT WHAT THEY CAN'T DO IS INSIST YOU HAVE IT,

    WERE YOU NOTIFIED ABOUT THEIR INTENTIONS AND GIVEN AN OPTION TO OPT OUT IF YOU DIDN'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT.

  3. Yes, employers can pretty much do whatever they choice as far as how much benefits that they provide.  

    With the cost of everything going up, employers are considering cost, and they are making employees pay for some of the cost of their medical benefits.  Many, many, companies are following the same trend.

    With a lot of people out of work, you have to consider the fact that you are employed, and go ahead a pay the cost of the medical.

    You can always decide to look for another job, but you won't find too many companies that provide medical 100%.

    However, you may have a case against the employer if you have some form of written documentation (such as an employment contract) where the employer states that they will provide health insurance benefits for you for a certain period of time.
