  1. I've had astigmatism all my life but I think it stabilized somewhere in my teens. It might be different for different people. I've worn contacts for over 25 years and it's not like I'm getting new prescriptions every few years because of astigmatism.

  2. I was advised by my optometrist that it may never stabilize for some people.  I was diagnosed with astigmatism when I was about four years old and it has slowly gotten worse throughout the years.  I also know people in their fifties and sixties who have astigmatism that has not stabilized.

  3. My aunt is nearly 50. She said her astigmatism suddenly disappeared recently but her general eye prescription went up. I don't know what that means, if it's bad or good but it happened.

  4. it is different for different ppl.
