Can exchange student like me go mexico without visa ??

Question

this year im being exchange student ... i wonder if i want to go mexico to visit a friend , just 5 days , do i need to get a visa to across the border ? .. im gonna take a bus from houston to monterrey with one of my friend... i hope someone will answer and help me ...

It depends on your NATIONALITY.  Your status as an exchange student in the U.S. has no bearing on entering Mexico.  You can see the lists on the site below to see if your country is on the list  whose citizens Do or Don't need a visa to enter Mexico.  If you need one, you need to apply at the nearest Mexican consulate in the U.S.  If it says you need a VISA..this is not the same as the "tourist card" that everyone gets at the border...it is an actual visa.
