Can extra ingredients be added to premade cookie dough

Question

If i bought some cookie dough at the store..can milk, flour, etc. be added to make more cookie dough?

It is not recommended.  Baking is a scientific process.  The ingredients make a better product if measured properly.  If you try to add ingredients later, it will negatively affect the end product.

Why not just make the cookies from scratch in the first place?

You could do it sure-you're going to alter the result but i say be bold!!!

lol- check out the spell check criticism "Hmm...it looks like you have a lot of punctuation." and it doesnt like lol..

After all the advice you hear from chefs to add already prepared soups to gravy etc I tend to be a little insouciant about these matters...

No you will ruin the dough, but you could add some m&m's, or nuts, or chocolate chips in the slices you put on the cookie sheets.
