Can eye contacts be considered part of biology?

I have a school project to do and i have to explain how biology has been part of my life. Since i wear contacts i was wondering if that would be a valid topic for biology. If they are not part of biology, can anyone give me any suggestions? Thank you

  1. not really.  the shape and evolution of the eye would be better.

  2. Contacts are not a part of biology, but the need for corrective lenses (contacts or glasses) is part of biology. Maybe you could look at it that way. For a biological reason (you inherited poor vision? your eyeball is misshapen?), you need to wear contact lenses.
