Question:

Can eye sight deteriorate although I'm wearing contacts every day?

One of my eyes is weaker than the other but lately I have days sometimes when it feels like the weak eye got worse, then there are days when everything is the same as before. But I only feel this when I'm not wearing contacts or glasses. When I do, everything is normal. Well, what I'm trying to ask is, how can the eyesight without the contacts differ from one day to the other but when I use the contacts there is no difference at all? I hope it's not confusing.

  1. Check with your eye doctor who prescribed the contacts and glasses. I know you shouldn't wear contacts all the time as your eye needs time to reshape itself, especially when using hard contacts.

I wear glasses, so I have an idea what you are saying. Sometimes when I wake up, I can see fairly well before I put my glasses on. Then once I put them on, then remove them, I'm like Mr. Magoo.....

  2. I'm not a doctor but i think it might be because of the way you use ur muscles .. maybe the power is too strong.. and yes your question is very confusing hehe dont worry about it its fine. ....

  3. One thing that can lead to day to day changes is tiredness. Your eyes don't focus as quickly when you are tired. This gets worse as you get older.
