  1. Maybe.  Do a search for "Bates method".

  2. Yes it can, but it took some work and dedication to do it.  I did a vision improvement program a few years ago.  I was mildly farsighted with a moderate amount of astigmatism in my left eye.  I did eye exercises almost everyday and was able to completely correct my right eye and lower the spherical portion of my prescription in the left eye to a point where I no longer have a spherical number in my prescription.  I was hoping it would also work on the astigmatism as well, but it did not improve it at all.  I've had the astigmatism for several years before I was advised I was also farsighted.  The eye doc prescribed glasses to me over 15 years before I started wearing them.

I bought a vision improvement program online for $24.95.  I figured that $24.95 was a small price to pay for the possibility to correct my vision.  Glasses are usually at least around $100.00 and a box a toric contacts is around $40.00.  I still think the program was well worth even though I did not get the  full results I wanted.  I also learned valuable techniques/exercises for dealing for eye strain and ended up with really good night vision.  I can read the text in a book with just the light of my alarm clock.  I did not expect that one.

Unfortunately I still need to correct the vision in my left eye.  My visual acuity was at 20/50 last time I checked and my right eye no longer likes to compensate for it and rewards me with double vision and nasty headaches when I attempt to for extended periods of time.  My current RX is PL -1.25 X60 contact and glasses is PL -1.50 X 50.

Please keep in mind that vision improvement programs do not work on everyone and require a great deal of effort in order to see any results.  Many eye care professionals do not believe that vision improvement programs work and that corrective lenses and/or surgery are the only option to treat refractive errors.

  3. The first girl is actually right.  Baush&lomb sells supplements for the eyes and I believe the one called Preser Occuvite has been proven to help with macular degeneration.

One thing with vitamin A, taken in large doses can be harmful, so monitor what vitamins you may be taking if you buy this.  Be careful with zinc, too. Also, monitor foods you eat.

I go with foods before I took the supplement.

  4. Very rarely.  I have seen far-sighted people develop better vision in the earlier stages of cataract, but eventually it goes back downhill as the cataract matures.

  5. Supposedly these plastic glasses with a bunch of little holes, can help to exercise the eyes. They're called pinhole spectacles, but I've never actually spoken to anyone who's tried them.

  6. idk maybe, eat carrots
