  1. I am sure natural fabrics, like cotton and linen, can. Maybe wool too. But not synthetic fabrics like Lycra, nylon and so on. Those are just plastic made into fine thread and woven into cloth. Exactly the same kind of plastic that they tell you to recycle because it does not bio degrade.
