Question:

Can fairway woods be bent to a different loft?

I have a Tour Edge Exotics CB1 3 wood and 5 wood. The 3 wood is 15* and the 5 wood is 18*. Is it possible to bend either wood to 16.5*? I'd like to avoid having to sell both clubs and have to purchase a 4 wood. I've added an extra wedge to my bag and will no longer be able to carry both clubs.

Your help and advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

  1. No

They can, but you'll pay for it on par fives.  The neck will tend to bend back when you're on the range.  Bending clubs is old school.  Just buy another club.

    Hit 'em straight.

  2. it all depends on the hosel some clubs can be bent depending on hosel length however usually the maximum is 2 degrees i had mine done and it helped alot also you need to have the shaft length checked because the shaft on a 3 is longer and a 5 wood shorter so keep this in mind best advice take the club to a fitter and see what they say.

  3. nope or at least i don't think so

  4. yes but only to a very small amount. it is a good idea if you have to buy a new one if the one you have doesnt work out.

  5. Bending the shaft is about all you could do. But I really dont think its a good idea. If it doesnt work the value of the club just droped. Have you considered a hybrid club.
