Can fancy goldfish and feeder goldfish go in a pond...

ok so i plan on building a plan if i put 2 fancy gold fish and to common aka feeder goldfish how big dose my pond have to be btw it can reach below 0 in the winter here and in the high 90s in summer so what do i do in winter

  1. depth is more important. 2 feet seems to be a good depth for prevention of winter top to bottom freeze most years.

    if you have pairs, male-female, they will breed. color starts to go within 2 generations, even with the fancies.

    if you want to keep koi, i would go even deeper. they are too expensive to risk.

    i would recommend to anybody that has an outdoor pond to add some fish, even the cheapies. they will keep mosquitoes from breeding in it.
