Can farms use the plant and animal waste they produce to make and use bio-energy?

YES.from animal waste methane gas can be produced for heating.solid waste from gas plant and plant waste can be briquetted and used as solid fuel .

and a bio degrader using all the material from the toilets of a large household ,produces more than enough gas to cook for them.

but some farms that are on the ball who got a lot of stabled  livestock do drive their tractors    on methane
