Can filtering a distilled spirit through activated carbon remove methenol?

  1. No.  Carbon won't filter out methanol.

    But the good news is that if you follow a good recipe, you'll only have TRACE amounts of methanol.  Any form of fermentation/distillation will produce minute amounts of methanol, but these amounts are not enough to harm you.

    I recommend either The Bootlegger's Bible, or doing a google search for distillation.  There's a Swedish website out there (in English) that has a very good article on distillation.
