  1. Fish also sense vibrations through their lateral line. The fine black line that runs down the length of the body picks up vibrations and helps fish locate the source . This is how fish can find your spinner bait in murky muddy water and why they move away from the bank before they even have a chance to see you coming. However, the sound waves from normal conversation deflect off the waters surface, so your music may not have an adverse effect on the fish. Keep this in mind... if you can feel the bass before you see the car, it's probably too loud.

Who knows, the fish may even like it... rock on and catch a bunch!!!

  2. vibration/sound travels in water

  3. yes they can   they also feel vibes

  4. Yeah

  5. Flounderbytes has my vote (again) - fish rely on their sense of hearing and their eiyesight to protect them along with a keen sense of smell.

Some have better eyesight than other and some have a better sense of smell than others too.... kinda sounds like us!!

  6. Flounderbytes has nailed this one, yes they can hear but what i sounds like is different to us, they feel the sound waves more than hear them.

  7. All fish can probably hear sounds produced in the water. Fish can also hear sounds made on shore or above the water if they are loud enough. Catfish and certain other fish have a keen sense of hearing.

Fish have an inner ear enclosed in a chamber on each side of the head. Each ear consists of a group of pouches and tubelike canals. Fish have no outer ears or eardrums to receive sound vibrations. Sound vibrations are carried to the inner ears by the body tissues.
