I have a very strong intolrance to chlorine and cannot use tap water to shower or bathe.

Can anyone tell me if it is safe to use fish declhorinating liquid (such as aqua safe from Tetra) in my bath water?

Many thanks,

  1. ANSWER

YES, use dechlorinator it is safe to bath with

    SUGGESTION

... the best source of nice soft dechlorinated water is rainwater

....if you can acces a couple of plastic barrels, huge ones, that are cleanable, like maybe from a glass cleaning company that uses soaps and glass cleaners in big plastic barrels, those can easily be rinsed well and used to collect rain water from the down spout of your rain gutters at your house

.....the barrels can be near your bathroom window, and a submersible pump ($13.99 from Harbor Freight) dropped into the barrell with a hose attached that leads to your bathtub

.....plug in the pump and voila! instant rainwater bath!

and if you ever wanted to try it u might hook up the fountain spray assembly in the tub too, just for some fun one time:)

...check out the website below for the type of pump i mentioned

  2. Sure.  Water conditioners for fish neutralize chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals from water.  There's nothing in there that will hurt you.  My cats love to drink my fish water.  I think they dislike chlorine in their water.

  3. Yes, and it works very well!  I would recommend a water filter for long term use because dechlorinating drops gets expensive after a while.
