    Just be careful >>>>>  Make sure all the necessary paperwork is in order.  I suggest having 1 lawyer check it all out     THEN get a second opinion.

  2. Yes but you have to be very careful as there are tons of real estate scams down there!

    The first thing you want to do is to get a local attorney who has a real good reputation to help you before you are going to talk to any real estate people - and he or she may be able to direct you in the right direction to prevent you from getting into any trouble.

  3. YES! people do it all the time for investment  purposes, retirement and vacation homes.

  4. Not only can foreigners buy homes in Costa Rica, but you can do it through familiar American real estate companies like Century 21.
