Can fresh nutmeg be found at any grocery store?

Not every grocery store will have a Whole nutmeg, but Whole Paycheck Market is bound to have whole nutmeg, for a price.

However, I've noticed more supermarkets are starting to carry whole nutmegs, especially if they have a bulk food section.

Generally, markets carry what their clientele buy. Most low end stores have very few fresh herbs and fancy spices but not every high end market will carry a large array. It all comes down to what their customers want. Surprisingly, it was easier years ago to get whole nutmeg in the store than it is now.
