My son has been potty trained night and day for 6 months. Lately he has had accidents at night he is actually afraid to sleep because he does not want to wet the bed. Last night he woke up 4 times in 9 hours to go to the bathroom these 9 hours are usually spent sleeping and completely dry. We were thinking it may be a bladder infection except the trips started out more often (every 30 minutes) and then went down to 3 hours. And now that he is away he waited 4 hours to go. If it were a bladder infection I would expect the same urgency 24/7 not just at night. The only other thing that has changed is that he is nw eating peaches. We bought some and gave them to him for the first time and he loves them he would eat 10 a day if we did not limit him. I am thinking some how it is the peaches that are causing him to need to go to the bathroom often. If he has one at supper he needs to go to the bathroom often within a couple of hours and the more time that has passed since he ate one the less he has to go. Could the peaches be causing this affect because I have never heard of fruit affecting anyone like this.

  1. This is really a medical question that should be discussed with your doctor.

  2. The peaches could be causing it but it is more likely he would need to sit rather than stand.

10 per day are far to many 1 at breakfast and another at lunch would be my recommendation, and definitely none for at least 2 hours before bedtime.

If you seriously think there could be a bladder infection seek medical advice ASAP

  3. many fruits contain a lot of water, if you think him eating fruit is causing this then don't feed him any after lunch.  if he frequently uses the potty in a few hours after the fruit, but then not much later you will know thats the cause.  if you do this but dont see a change in him needing to get up for potty during the night- it is definitely somethign else and he should go see a doctor to make sure he doesn't have a kidney infection.
