that is why when I was little, I had to make the switch from gameboy color to gameboy advance. However, it works the other way. Gameboy color games work on the gameboy advance. Also gameboy color games work on the latest gameboy thing, the "Gameboy SP"

They work on DS though, but if you are looking into buying one and have Gameboy Colour games- KEEP YOUR COLOUR CONSOLE. I do not think they fit into the advance slot on the DS, unfortunately :(

no way it doenst work ! plus the GameBoy Advance is more powerful than the GameBoy Color, still you can use the cartridges on the GBA SP or the current Nintendo DS !

no. gba games r 2 short 2 fit into the gbc, plus it might get stuck if u force it in. n 4 some reason, gbc games can't play on the ds but gba games can...weird.

No, because the gameboy colour was out before advance games, meaning the colour console wouldnt know what to do with the games!

nope sorry. game boy advanced games either work on a game boy advanced, or a game boy advanced sp, or a nintendo ds. hope this was helpful.
