If you put a lot of gas in your car and let it sit, can the gas evaporate from not being used?

  1. The water in the gas can evaporate, but not the gas.


  2. In earlier cars it might evaporate some,but all newer cars has a closed fuel system, not allowed to be vented into the atmosphere.
